WCS Logistics acquired the Charles Town complex in West Virginia during the 1980s. During its peak, Jefferson Cold Storage operated an ammonia refrigeration system and stored 148,600 bushels of CA apples and 594,000 bushels of regular storage apples. The complex also featured 60,000 square feet of ambient space.
Presently, Jefferson occupies 160,000 square feet in the original insulated building and an additional 20,000 square feet in a newer metal building within the complex. Charles Town is situated on a 200+ Acre lot of land.
