The C.L. Robinson Ice and Cold Storage Corp. of Winchester will shortly begin work on the erection of a fireproof cold storage building near its large plant on North Market Street, which when completed will almost double the company’s storage capacity.
The capacity of the present plant in this city is 80,000 barrels, and the company’s plant at Charles Town, W.Va., has a capacity of 50,000 barrels. The new plant will hold 100,000 barrels, making in all a storage capacity of 230,000
barrels, or one of the largest in the eastern section of the United States.
