The management of the Winchester Cold Storage Co. announced today that operations would be started about Sept. 20 and apples would be received for storage any time after that date.
Refrigeration would then be started on two floors having a capacity of 50,000 barrels.
The entire building having a capacity of 120,000 barrels would be under refrigeration by first week in October. Making ice will start about Oct. 10.
One hundred and fifty men are now being employed.
