Work is progressing rapidly on the new Winchester Cold Storage Company’s plant in north Winchester and it is fully expected that the plant will be ready for operation in time to receive the early fall crop of apples.

In order to speed up the work of construction, a number of electric lights have been installed at the plant and work on it goes on at night until a late hour.

When complete, this will be one of the most up-to-date industries in the valley and will be equipped with every modern device to facilitate the handling and care of fruit.
